Fignal (“Fignal”, “we”, “our”, or “us”) operates this application from New York, United States. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) form a binding agreement between you and Fignal. By creating an account or using Fignal, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. You must be at least 13 years old (16 in the EU/UK) to use Fignal. By using the app, you confirm you meet this requirement and that any information you provide is accurate.

• Fignal provides educational nutrition information, estimates, and food analysis.
• It is not a substitute for professional medical, dietary, or nutritional advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
• Nutrition values, calorie estimates, health scores, AI-generated content, and recommendations may be inaccurate.
• Always consult a qualified healthcare professional before making significant changes to your diet, exercise, or lifestyle.
• Do not rely on Fignal for medical emergencies. Call your local emergency number.

You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately at fignalemail@gmail.com if you suspect unauthorized access.

You agree not to:

• Use the app for any unlawful purpose or to harm others.
• Attempt to reverse engineer, scrape, or disrupt the service.
• Upload content that is illegal, infringing, harmful, or that you do not have the right to share.
• Misrepresent yourself or use another person’s account.

You retain ownership of the photos and information you submit. You grant Fignal a limited, worldwide, royalty-free license to process that content solely to operate the service for you (for example, to run food analysis and store your logs).

Fignal uses artificial intelligence to generate nutrition estimates and recommendations. Outputs are probabilistic and may be wrong. Verify important information independently.

You may delete your account at any time from Profile → Delete account. Deletion is permanent and removes your authentication record and personal data within 30 days, subject to limited legal retention requirements.

Fignal is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Fignal will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or exemplary damages, or for any loss of profits, data, or health outcomes arising from your use of Fignal. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us (if any) in the 12 months preceding the claim.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Fignal from any claim arising out of your misuse of the app or violation of these Terms.

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or if required by law. You may stop using Fignal at any time.

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be announced in-app. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, United States, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in New York, unless required otherwise by your local law.
